The Monodos Joint was designed in collaboration with William P. Bunnell, M.D. The joint incoporates a one-way clutch that allows rotation in one direction, but blocks all rotation in the opposite direction until the clutch is released. The Monodos can be used for flexion or extension contractures and is a cost-effective alternative to serial casting. The joint has a variety of clinical applications, including Cerebral Palsy, spinal cord injuries and stroke.
