Product Overview

The Point Digit II is a ratcheting functional full finger prosthesis for heavy duty users. Each finger is rated to 150 lb, and can be positioned without using the opposite hand by pressing the dorsal side of the finger against an opposing surface (table, thigh, etc.). Each digit has 11 locking levels of flexion.

There are two methods to extend the digit; 1) by pressing the button on the dorsal side of the finger, or 2) by fully flexing the finger to engage the auto spring back feature (single-handed use).

The Point Digit II is ideal for people with near MCP level amputation. Slightly distal (especially if the residual digit range of motion is minimal) and proximal partial hand amputation patients are also good candidates. Best outcomes are seen when the patient has an intact thumb for active opposition. The digits have integrated compliant fingertip pads that are touch screen compatible and field replaceable.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Have near metacarpophalangeal (MCP) level amputations of the index, middle, ring, and/or little fingers
  • Require a robust prosthesis
  • Desire one-handed operation and anatomical flexion

Features:

  • 11 locking levels of flexion
  • High strength: 150 lb (68 kg) load capacity
  • Low weight: 1.1 oz - 1.3 oz (30g - 36g) depending on length
  • Anatomical rotation about the patient’s MCP joint
  • 6 lengths - 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, and 105 mm, measured from MCP joint center to fingertip
  • One-handed operation

Operation:

  • User positions the Point Digit II into 1 of 11 locking levels of flexion by pushing the fingertip against an opposing surface (e.g., leg, table, etc.)
  • The Point Digit II automatically locks into place, enabling the user to perform desired task.
  • The Point Digit II is extended from a locked position by either pushing the release button or fully flexing the digit to engage the auto spring back feature

Compatibility:

Designed for integration into a hard shell with a soft inner liner (e.g. carbon fiber with silicone or similar). Sockets are not included with Point Digit II's
