SafeLimb Transtibial Residual Limb Protector

During post-surgical care of transtibial amputation patients, the SafeLimb provides supportive protection of the residual limb if the patient falls.

Prosthetists will appreciate the SafeLimb’s unique design, materials and adaptability – which enhances the fit, suspension and patient compliance. A spherical compressive foam cushion mounted on a rigid plate – attatched to the struts at the distal end of the brace – prevents trauma to the surgical wound.

The length of the SafeLimb’s medial and lateral bars is adjustable, and the bars can also be hand-contoured to align with the degree of extension. The material interface is lightweight and breathable, with anterior-opening and anterior straps for ease of application. A proprietary “SupraPatellar Strap” (above the knee) effectively prevents migration.
